Cosco and Zim will launch a joint Mediteranean-West Africa service early this month already. The frequency: twice a month, to be increased to 10 day/ ports of call: Naples, Barcelona, Lagos/Tin Can Island, Tema, Abidjan. Each partner will initially provide one around 1,300 TEU ship. It is assumed that the Chinese carrier will discontinue its current slotcharter with Messina.
