Delmas shipping is offering a new service from the East African port of Mombasa to Israel. Delmas’ local ship agent “Gold Line Shipping” told reporters that the new service is based on direct sailings from the port of Mombasa through the Suez canal to Port Said from where the consignments will be trans-shipped to Israel.
The new service will have a 10 days frequency and the estimated sailing time from Kenya to Israel is approximately 14 days.
Gold Line added that the new service would be highly attractive to the Israeli importing community due not only to the short sailing time but also due to the fact that Delmas is well known and highly experienced in the East African logistic market.
Delmas was established in 1867 and today it is part of the Bollore holding company which has, over the last years, specialized in developing African shipping services. The company runs six shipping services linking African ports to Far Eastern and European destinations.
