Evergreen plans to significantly improve its feeder services in the Mediterranean from January 2011.
The company has announced the introduction of the new Turkey-Levant Service (TRL) which will deploy two TEU 1,000 vessels with new direct calls at Alexandria and Ashdod.
The port rotation is: Taranto-IstanbulHaydarpasa-Gemlik-Izmir-Alexandria-Ashdod-Taranto.
A company spokesperson stated that: "With the new upgraded feeder routing, Evergreen Line will provide customers with improved operational efficiency, shorter transit times, greater capacity, wider port coverage and quality services to and from the Mediterranean, connecting to our extensive global networks.”
