The Haifa port company reached an agreement last week with port unions which allows the introduction of fully computerized Terminal Operation System (TOS) for loading and unloading marine containers.
Full details of the agreement with the unions had not been disclosed but it was understood that there are yet several issues which remained open for discussions.
The parties are yet to agree on adding half an hour to the third shift, from 05:00 to 05:30. It is understood, however, that an agreement had been reached in principle but not yet signed.
