Haifa Port offers an Electronic Invoice new Service

As part of improved customer service and a desire to reduce the unnecessary use of paper, Haifa Port offers, from this week, a new service – online invoices instead of a printed invoice.

Following the successful completion of a pilot program, Haifa Port is launching, right now, a new service which will deliver invoices produced by the Port, digitally and securely to all our clients who choose to join the service.

The Haifa Port Company calls on all of its clients to take advantage of this new service and agree to receive their invoices in a digital format instead of a printed invoice. Original invoices, electronically produced by the Port, will be received by clients immediately.  Clients who agree to be part of this new service will be able to view their invoices, in PDF format, from their electronic mailbox on the Computerized Trading Processes in the Maritime Communitysite which is run by the Israel Ports Development & Assets Company Ltd. (IPC) Ltd.

Using the electronic, stamped invoice service makes it unnecessary for the client to come in person to the income Department at Haifa Port in order to collect printed, original invoices or to have them delivered as hard copy by any other means.

Invoices sent to the client via email are secure and recognized by tax authorities and, needless to say, meet the requirements of the law regarding electronic signatures and stamps.

Shimon Love, Head of the Haifa Port's Finance Division, and the person managing the project: "Invoices with an electronic signature are part of the improved services we provide our clients whilst, at the same time, reducing the use of paper and printing.  I call on all of the Ports customers to join this new service."
