K-Line: Kawasaki, Kisen, Kaisha, Ltd. one of Japan's leading shipping companies, is understood to be considering calling directly at Israeli Mediterranean ports.
 
The information was disclosed last week during a visit to Israel of two high level officers of the company. It is understood that the ships will call Israeli ports as part of their schedule to the Mediterranean and Black sea ports.
 
The company has recently decided to add two feeder ships serving between Port Said, Turkey and the Black sea. The first feeder ship Angela has already entered service and until the end of October the second feeder ship will enter. The vessels call at Port Said, Hydarpasa, Odessa, Constanta, Varna, Hydarpasa, Port Said.
 
The connection to Israeli Mediterranean ports is through regular feeder service from Port Said.

K-Line officers Mr. Toshiyuki Suzuki, director container business group and Mr. Kiyoshi Terashima, director, Istanbul representative office met during their visit Mr. Moshe Mano, president Mano Maritime Ltd. who act as K-Line port agent and Mr. Dror Vered, K-Line local representative.
 
The guests also met the directors of Haifa and Ashdod ports, heads of the Israeli Shippers Council and a delegation of the Federation of Israeli International Freight Forwarders Association.
