Israeli Knesset member (KM) Eitan Cabel, a former General Secretary of the Labor Party, has agreed to head Israel's parliament shipping lobby.
The parliament shipping lobby includes KM Avraham Michaeli, MK Yariv Levin, MK Shay Hermesh and MK Faina Kirshenbaum.
The Inaugural Meeting of the new parliamentary shipping lobby was held last week with the participation of Mr. Reuven Zuk, President, Israel Chamber of Shipping, Shay Ba'bad, vice President, Israel Chamber of Shipping, Mr. Yoni Izakov, director general of Coral Maritime and Mr. David Castel president of Israel Scandinavian Maritime Agency Ltd.
KM Eitan Cabel said that the parliamentary shipping lobby will allow all interested parties to present their ideas and expressed hope that the parliamentary shipping lobby will be assisted by the interested parties in the work, the lobby will do, vis-א-visthe Government, the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, Knesset committees and Knesset Members.
