Mediterranean Shipping Company's container vessel MSC Esthi called for the first time at Haifa.

The vessel which operates on MSC's Golden Gate Service (GGS) arrived in Israel last Friday morning.

MSC Esthi, a Container ship built 2006, registered in Panama, a TEU 9,200 capacity vessel, 109,600 DWT, 365 meters long ship was handed over in June 2006 by Samsung Heavy Industry to Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC).

The ship was named after the 78 years – old Ester Diamant a director of MSC Israel. Mrs. Diamant is related to Luigi Aponte the president and owner of MSC.
