Tiran Shipping Company has been appointed as sole agent in Israel of the Turkish Hatay RORO shipping.
The Turkish shipping company is the only one currently offering a service bypassing Syria, and is responsible for the transfer of trucks and trailers from Haifa to Jordan.
The Land Transport Agreement between Egypt and Turkey is due to expire at the end of March 2015 and will probably not be renewed, which would give a clear advantage to the service through Israel.
