Tzvi Vered Rosenfeld, one of the founders and pioneers of local Israeli and international shipping, passed away last week at the age of 87.
The late Zvi Rosenfeld followed the steps of his father Aharon Rosenfeld, who founded in 1919 A.Rosenfeld Shipping Ltd. Port agent and Ship agent the oldest and most experienced shipping agency in Israel.
In the 90s Rosenfeld was one of the shareholders of ABC Containerline, a shipping company which operated container vessels between Europe, Asia, North America and Israel.
In Israel, Rosenfeld dedicated much of his time to the development of A. Rosenfeld Shipping Ltd. which is currently run by his nephew Zari Rosenfeld and Green Shipping Ltd. Evergreen's port agent in Israel, run by his son Ohad Vered.
Dr. Yoram Sebba, President of Chamber of Shipping said "Tzvi Vered Rosenfeld was a man with exceptional creativity who had a substantial role in a number of shipping companies as well as many shipping activities and a prominent figure in the Israeli shipping sector."
