Ocean Carrier ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd has announced the upgrade of the North-South America service (XNS).

 

 

The new Services will offer extended coverage and improved service between ports in South America, the Caribbean and Central America, US Gulf & East Coast.
As of mid-June 2014 the company will introduce changes to its current services and launch a new service, offering improved transit time and extended port coverage in the following lines:

 

  • North-South Express Service (XNS) Deploying 8x7000 TEU vessels on the following new rotation: Norfolk – New York – Baltimore – Savannah – Free Port – Caucedo – Santos – Buenos Aires – Montevideo – Rio Grande – Navagantes – Santos – Salvador – Suape – Free Port –Norfolk.

 

  • New Gulf Brazil Service (GBS): Deploying 9x2800 TEU vessels. Rotation: Cristobal – Kingston – Vera Cruz – Altamira – Houston – Kingston – Cristobal – Port Of Spain – Santos – Navagantes – Paranagua – Rio De Janeiro – Vila De Conde – Cristobal

 

  • Caribbean Gulf Express (CGX): Deploying 3x2800 TEU vessels Caucedo – Kingston – Tampa – mobile – New Orleans – Houston – Cuacedo 

 

All Services under the new structure, in cooperation with MSC, are weekly, fixed-day services with competitive transit time. The new structure creates numerous advantages, including improved regional services, extended coverage and additional sailings.

 

It offers new direct service from South America to US Gulf and Mexico, along with smooth connections to Canada and to ZIM’s global network. The new structure is part of ZIM’s strategy focusing on improving and expanding services in South and Central America.
