ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd has announced the renewal of its container operations in Paraguay The move is part of ZIM’s strategic effort to develop and enhance its services in South America.
The carrier will serve the port of Asunción via a barge service on the Paraguay/Paraná river system connecting to Montevideo, Uruguay and onward through ZIM’s global and regional network to all major trade routes.
ZIM operates the Asia South America East Coast (ASE) with direct connections to major ports in China, as well as an Intra-America network (CAS) connecting to destinations worldwide via its hub in Kingston, Jamaica. ZIM’s new agency in Paraguay is Global Shipping Paraguay SA, based in Asunción.
