MSC Israel marked last week it's 15th year of service in the Israeli foreign trade. The event to which hundreds of the company's clients were invited, was held at Shfaym, a seaside resort.
Mr.Edny Simkin director general of MSC Israel who opened the event noted that in 1990 when MSC first entered the Israeli trade in had only 20 container vessels. Within 15 years, the number of vessels grew to 275 and today MSC is the second largest shipping company on the world.
Among the guests who participated were Mr.Maximilian Venezian head of the Israeli trade at MSC, Mr. David Hermesh chairman of the port of Haifa, Amos Uzani director general of the port of Haifa. Mrs. Iris Shtark chair of the port of Ashdod, Shuki Sagis director general of the port of Ashdod, Mr. Nahum Ganzarsky, president if the Israeli chamber of shipping, Mr. Shlomo Sharon, chairman of the Federation of Israeli international freight forwarders and representatives of the customs authority.
