The "Mona Lisa" cruise ship arrived to Ashdod last week with hundreds of German passengers on board. The ship, built for Swedish America Line and completed in 1966, is a well known ship in the global cruise business
The vessel began its present voyage to Ashdod in Genoa and will end the present voyage at Trieste.
While at Ashdod, passengers disembarked the ship for short visits to Jerusalem and the holy places.
The call had been coordinated by the vessel's local agent Messers Rosenfeld. It is understood that four additional calls will be made at Ashdod by passenger ships this year.
