Ashdod Port Company held a memorial ceremony to mark the tenth anniversary of the double suicide bomb attack on port facilities in Ashdod in southern Israel on 14 March 2004, which claimed the lives of 10 Israelis.
The initial attack occurred around 4:30pm killing at least five workers standing next to a machine repair workshop. A few minutes later, a second explosion ripped through an office trailer some 100 meters from the first blast just outside the entrance to the port itself.
Some 300 port employees and family members of the deceased were present.
