Israel Katz Minister of Transport, National Infrastructures and Road Safety announced that former acting police commissioner Bentzi Sau, will replace Moshe Ivri-Sukenik, as chairman of the Haifa Port board of directors.
Acting commissioner Bentzi Sau left the Israeli police force last November, bringing to an end nearly four decades of service.
Katz noted that "For the decades he was in the force, Sau performed a variety of key roles and contributed greatly to the security of Israel," he continued, "In recent months, Sau led the Israeli police through an unusually difficult struggle against terrorism."
