"MSC Fantasia" the largest cruise vessel ever to call Israel

MSC Fantasia, built 2008, the largest cruise ship ever built for a European ship owner is a masterpiece of Italian style: a perfect mix of advanced technology, elegance and exclusive services, called Haifa port last week.

The vessel which is 333,30 m long, 66,80 m high, gross tonnage of 137,936 tons and has an average speed of 18 knots, can accommodate 3,274 passengers and 1,370 crew members.

The vessel is 10 meters longer than the Eiffel Tower, and the propulsion power is the equivalent of 120 Ferraris. MSC Fantasia was delivered to MSC Cruises on December 11, 2008. She was officially named on December 18, 2008, in Naples by Sophia Loren and started on her maiden voyage on the same date.

Since her first cruise, this vessel has been the flagship of the company.
