A. Rosenfeld Shipping Ltd, representing Salamis Lines in Israel, announced last week that a third RoRo ship had been added to the Israel – Cyprus –Greece service on November 10th.
In a statement issued by the port agents the company said that the introduction of a third RoRo ship to the service was mainly aimed at the increase of service frequency, in preparation for the opening of the Israeli winter agriculture season.
The new ship "Maria G" which has a capacity of 85 trailers, is regarded by shipping circles as a considerable addition to the service which had been served by the two RoRo ships:" Trader 1" and"Ion".
The three RoRo ships can carry, in addition to trailers, full container loads, LCL cargo, general cargo, outsized cargo and private cars to Limassol and Piraeus.
