ST&T successfully completed an unloading operation at the port of Ashdod, in which several units, weighing up to 350 MT each, were unloaded and moved overland to the Israeli Electric Company power station.

The units made by the German conglomerate Siemens were unloaded on to special heavy duty vehicles which carried the units to their final destination.

The units were shipped to Israel on board a specially equipped ship owned by the Dutch heavy lift specialist Biglift. The ship has two heavy duty cranes with lifting capacity of up to 600 MT.

Biglift is one of the few heavy lift specialists in the marine industry. The company has 15 ships all of which is fully equipped to carry heavy lift as well as extra sized cargo.
The company moved last month to Israel the new container gantry cranes to the new container port of Ashdod
