Sea-gull Maritime, in co-operation with Ta'avura heavy equipment road haulage company and Israel Electricity Company's heavy equipment department, successfully completed the movement of heavy equipment cargo imported by IEC.
The specially equipped ship carrying the cargo, originally arrived in August but, due to strike action taken by port workers, was forced to leave. Upon her return the port was again closed due to general strike action organized by the trade unions.
During the day after the strike was called off, the Haifa port authority as well as the other parties involved made special efforts to unload the extremely complicated piece of equipment which was ordered for the Haifa power plant being under construction.
Sea-gull Maritime is one of Israel's most experienced project cargo marine movers, offering unique skills necessary to provide local companies with the planning, execution and customer service required for the maritime movement of heavy-lift project cargo.
