China Shipping began last week it's Israeli Mediterranean - AMAX Service with the call of M/V XIN YANG ZHOU, the company's vessel, at the port of Haifa.
The arrival of the vessel marked the company's first round the world service, linking ports in the Far East with Israel and from Israel, through South European ports, to the east coast of the USA.
China Shipping's local agent Intermaritime Ltd gave a reception in which the Chinese Ambassador H.E Mr. Cheng Yonglong was the guest of honor.
Also participated Mr.Zhu Jinze director China Shipping's Mediterranean services, Mr. Hu Yong China Shipping representative in Israel, Mr. Amos Uzani, Director General Port of Haifa, Mr. Nahum Ganzarski, President of the Chamber of Shipping and clients.
H.E Mr. Cheng Yonglong said during the reception that the new China Shipping's direct service, marked the expansion of Sino-Israeli trade relations.
Mr. Zhu Jinze, China Shipping's director Mediterranean services, expressed the company's willingness to expand services in the Eastern Mediterranean ports in general and in Haifa in particular. He thanked the port of Haifa for their co-operation.
Mr.Kohn, director general of Inter-Maritime noted that "eight months ago the company marked the 8th anniversary serving Israel and now China Shipping inaugurate the new weekly AMAX service which increase the capacity to and from the USA".
