Ben Zion Salman, former Director General of the Ministry of Transport, nominated chairman of the Haifa port company.
Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz publicly announced last week that Mr. Ben Zion Salman, former Director General of the Ministry of Transport accepted, with immediate effect, an offer to chair the Haifa port's board of directors.
Salman, 59, is an experienced transportation person, specializing in transport infrastructure. He headed, for seven years, the support unit of the Transportation Ministry, “Ma’atz”, which assumed responsibility for all the interurban road system, traffic management and control, planning, development and maintenance of the roads and their safety.
In a statement issued by the Ministry Mofaz noted that Salman’s experience will be an added value to the port, it's users as well as workers.
