About 150 West Bank importers and exporters participated in convention as well as the Chairman of Israel Corp. and Zim’s Chairman and CEO
 
Zim Integrated Shipping Services, held last week a convention in Ramallah for Palestinian business community. The convention, the first of it's kind, was attended by Mr. Idan Ofer, Chairman of Israel Corp. and Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd., Israel Corporation CEO Nir Gilad and Zim chairman and CEO Rafi Danieli. About 150 West Bank importers and exporters participated.
 
The Zim reps described the company's global shipping network and its new focus on personalized customer service and introduced the company's new website in Arabic.
 
The Palestinian participants seemed particularly interested in the new Zim line from Asia to northern Europe via Israel.
 
Another topic was ways to expand economic cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Mahmud Alzalmut, a leading Palestinian businessman, deputy chairman of Zalmut Distributing Co., called Israeli businesses to increase their involvement in the Palestinian economy and co-operation with Palestinian businesses.
