The rotation of the North Europe - WestAfrica Service (NAF) service it jointly operates with Hapag-Lloyd will be amended as of April 5
Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. said last Thursday that the rotation of the North Europe - WestAfrica Service (NAF) service it jointly operates with Hapag-Lloyd will be amended as of April 5.
The NAF service, will have a revised rotation of Antwerp, Hamburg, Thamesport, Antwerp, Dakar, Tin Can Island, Tema, Abidjan, Amsterdam and Antwerp. The service operates with three vessels, two from Hapag-Lloyd and one from Zim, with an average capacity of 1,717 TEUs.
The revised rotation includes new calls at Thamesport and at Abidjan -- though Zim said the Abidjan call “will resume once European sanctions (have been) lifted.” The EU has sanctions in place against the government of the Ivory Coast.
Zim noted that the Amsterdam call “will be seasonal, aimed at serving the cocoa trade from West Africa.”
