Israel Corp. disclosed last week that its subsidiary, Zim Integrated Shipping ltd made a profit of $62 million for the third quarter, compared with $39 million for the corresponding quarter of last year.
Israel Corp said the average container shipping price was 11% higher in the third quarter, and cargo quantity was 2% greater, compared with the corresponding quarter of last year.
During the first nine months Zim Integrated Shipping ltd carried 1.535 million containers compared with 1.467 million containers in the corresponding period of last year.
In the third quarter Zim Integrated Shipping ltd carried 501,000 containers compared to 493,000 in the corresponding quarter of last year.
