Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. announced last Monday rate increase in coming weeks on westbound shipments from Europe to the United States as well as westbound shipments from Asia to Europe.
On Dec. 1, the line will increase Asia-to-Europe rates by US$200 per 20-foot container. The increase applies to destinations in northern Europe, the West and East Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
On Dec. 10, Zim will raise rates from Italy to the United States by $250 per TEU ( 20-foot container) and US$350 per FEU (40-foot container).
On Jan. 1, rates from Spain to the United States will also climb US$250 per 20-foot container and US$350 per 40-foot container. On the same date, rates from northern Europe to the United States will increase by US$375 per 20-foot container and US$475 per 40-foot container.
