Zim Integrated shipping confirmed last week that it would sponsor "Etgarim", Israel's disabled athletes sailing team, in its preparation for the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.
The $25,000 sponsorship will be for the years 2005 – 2006, will assist the disabled athletes with their preparations as well as with the purchase of range of special equipment necessary for theBeijing ParalympicGames.
In addition Zim will also ship the sailing boats from Israel to Beijing Paralympic Games, at no charge.
In return, Zim's logo will be printed on the sails as well as on athlets' uniforms.
In the last 2004 Athens games the Israeli trio team, skipper Dror COHEN, Aaron EFRATI and Benni VEXLER navigated its way to the gold medal.
