The Alliance will provide beginning October six services instead of seven - four to north Europe and two to the Mediterranean
 
THE CKYH Alliance consisting of Cosco, K Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin said they will provide, effective from October, six services instead of seven - four to north Europe and two to the Mediterranean.
 
At present the CKYH carriers provide five services to northern Europe and two to the Med. The four carriers said in a statement that "With this rationalization, the partner carriers willbe able to avoid the overlapping of similar loops and reduce duplicate calling ports, thereby improving efficiency". The new services have been renamed: NE1, NE2, NE3 and NE4 to north Europe, and MD1 and MD2 to Med ports.
 
The NE1 will deploy eight TEU 8,500 vessels from Cosco and Hanjin. The rotation will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou (Nansha), Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Singapore and back to Ningbo.
 
The NE2 will deploy eight TEU 7,700-8,000  vessels from "K" Line and Yang Ming. The rotation will be Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Shenzhen (Yantian), Singapore, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Antwerp, Jeddah, Hong Kong, Shenzhen (Yantian) and back to Xiamen.
 
The NE3 rotation will be served by six TEU 8,000 ships and three TEU7,700 ships from all four CKYH carriers, will be Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Yantian), Singapore, Port Said, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Singapore and back to Xingang.
 
The NE4 will be served by three TEU 8,000 and five TEU 7,700 ships from "K" Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin, will be Gwangyang, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Port Said, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Gwangyang.
 
The MD1 loop, with eight TEU 5,000 ships from all four carriers, will be Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Yantian), Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Said, Ashdod, Malta, Naples, Genoa, Livorno, Marseilles Fos, Port Said, Singapore and back to Busan.
 
The MD2 service, deploying eight TEU 6,000 vessels from all four member carriers, will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Shenzhen (Shekou), Singapore, Port Said, Piraeus, Genoa, La Spezia, Barcelona, Valencia, Singapore and back to Shanghai.
