Yang Ming's newest TEU 6,572, D.W.T 84,200 container vessel, "Yang Ming Mandate" which was delivered only a few weeks ago called last week at Ashdod port.
The vessel is deployed on the CHKY alliance's MD2 (Mediterranean 2) with the following port Rotation: Shanghai - Ningbo - Xiamen - Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantin - Singapore - Port Said – Ashdod - Genoa – Livorno – Fos - Port Said - Singapore - Hong Kong. Vessels deployed: 6,000TEU X 8 (Coscon, "K" Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin).
The vessel has reefer capacity of TEU500 and total container capacity of TEU 6,572.
Mr. Moshe Korkus – C.E.O. Conmart (Ship Agents) Ltd., exclusive shipping agent for Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (YML) in Israel, said in the welcome ceremony at the port of Ashdod that YML had made a strategic decision to increase vessel capacity on the Far East – Mediterranean service and he expected more vessels of similar capacity to call Israeli port.
