The new service will operate two container vessels and will begin on January 4th
Yang Ming (YM) through their Israeli agent Conmart (ship agents) Ltd. announced last week the inauguration of a new direct container service from Turkey to Ashdod and Haifa, Israel.
The new service, named TIX2, will operate two container vessels, YM Increment and YM Inception.
Rotation of the TIX2 would be as follows: Istanbul – Haydarpasa– Izmir – Ashdod – Port Said - Istanbul – Haydarpasa – Izmir.
Conmart (ship agents) Ltd. noted that the new service will commence on January 4, 2009 and that the present TIX1 service (weekly container service between Mersin and Ashdod), will carry on its regular level of service.
